TEACH

Story Pirates is currently looking for new teaching artists to work in our New York-based in-school residencies and after-school programs. Prospective teachers should have at least 2 years of experience working with kids, either in a classroom or alternative educational setting, and should be VERY comfortable being dramatic, silly, and ready to think on their feet. Our teaching artists work as a team to engage kids using our curriculum, which is packed full of Viking costumes, giant plush monster attacks, secretive extra-terrestrial organizations, and evil monarchs bent on taking over your classroom. Experience teaching writing is not required but is highly valued, so please highlight any such experience in your cover letter.

Spanish speakers (and other dual language speakers) are especially encouraged to apply. Please make a special note of your language skills when e-mailing us.

If interested, please send a cover letter and resume to teaching@storypirates.org by Thursday September 8th 2016 at the very latest.
